I’ve Been to Manila Series

The Mabuhay Rotonda, known to many as Welcome Rotonda, is the popular landmark at the border of Quezon City and Manila. It’s the meeting place of three major roads—España Boulevard, Quezon Avenue, E Rodriguez—and two streets that lead to many other destinations in the city.

The marble marker has been around since 1948 when Quezon City was declared as the new capital of the Philippines. In 1995, it was renamed Mabuhay Rotonda, a name so fitting for a warm welcome to the city.
