Huawei P9, f/2.2, 1 s, 4.5 mm, ISO 64

This photo was taken in the coastal town of Argao in the Philippines, using long exposure settings of the Huawei P9’s professional cam. With a tripod and your smartphone, you can use the same settings above to achieve this effect. You can also use the Silky Water function of your phone if there is.

Even before he became active in smartphone photography, Wil has already grabbed attention online with his minimalist approach to photography. He regularly joins Instameet activities in Cebu and keeps more than 36, 000 subscribers on Instagram.

For those starting to polish their photography skills, here’s his piece of advice: “Don’t settle for cliche. Look for a setting that’s unique and interesting like abandoned buildings, tunnels, or under the bridge. You’ll be surprised by the artistic output, and you’ll get to places you thought you won’t ever see.”
